Hi.
I'm from Portugal (Europe) and here the video format is PAL, as you know.
I have the Graphic card ASUS 9600XT VIVO, that’s the card that I use to capture. I capture always whit VirtualDub.
Every time that I restart my computer I have to open the program ASUS Digital VCR to activate the PAL system, because if not in the VirtualDub the image that is received is NTSC.
How can make that the capture device is always in PAL mode?
But now I have a problem that is much more concerning, the fact I have to go always to ASUS Digital VCR it’s nothing. The problem that I have know is that I can’t capture anything whit VirtualDub.
I put capturing and nothing happens, I whit the escape key, and a message is given saying that none frames was captured, and tells me to or put another resolution, or to put off the overlay or to change the image depth, but I never had this problems. I ever capture in 720x576 YUY2. But know I go to “Set custom format” and choose this format and it give me a error message (418 or 448) saying that the format is not valid.
One more thing I try to capture whit the Windows Movie Maker and give the message that the capture device is being used by another application, that’s not true, this happens when I have for example the ASUS Digital VCR open and try to capture. But then I restart my computer and go straight (without open the ASUS Digital VCR) to Window Movie Maker and try to capture, this way the Capture Device is by default NTSC, and I could capture. But in NTSC the image is black and white.
It’s very strange why it give me that the device is in use????
The only thing that I change in my system since the last good success capture was the graphic divers, I install the Catalyst 5.4.
I install again the Catalyst 5.1, and nothing install again the ASUS Digital VCR, and nothing.
What’s happening whit my system?
Thanks
