This weekend for his birthday my father got this home cimena set - LG LH-C6231 (DVD/VCR combo with 5.1 sound) and I'm very disappointed because it doesn't support DivX - I have lots of DivX stuff and I can't watch it.
What should I do? Should I tell my father to buy an additional (cheap if possible) DVD player that plays DivX movies (which one? I'd like it to have 5.1 sound if these aren't too expensive), or should I tell him to take this set back to the shop and buy another one?
Suggestions please?
Here's the pic of the set:

Well try out the phillips dvp642 dvd player,i have one and it plays almost every divx/xvid file i have. Make sure your avi files don't use qpel or gmc or the phillips won't play it.It's worked flawlessly for me.Also try and check out this link https://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers
