I've been encoding with FFMEG, Nuenc, QuEnc - all the free stuff which allows you to script from the command line. Problem is, the resulting MPEG2 files have a tendency to spike above the Mpeg2 bitrate limit for DVD compilation.
Quite a shame, because FFMPEG in particular provides some excellent looking video above the 6000kbs range.
Any suggestions ? I've tried maxing the bit rate down to 5500, but it still spikes every now and them.
