  1. Hi

I am looking for advice on the following can anyone help please?

In the past on making DVD`s or CD`s I have used labels like Netro etc... Then they seem to come off ie make a shaking sound in the DVD player and it starting to peel off even though it just been put on.. Tried using abit of glue in the pass also to no joy..

I have seen on the net printers that can print right onto the Cd or DVD without even printable disks ... You put the disk in the device and you can print right onto it..

What are thoughts on these or would sudjest any device to do this TDK etc make them etc.. What advice would you give etc..

Any makes , models , links to sites would be a great help..

    Thank you

  2. For cds I use Neato brand labels and haven't had any problems with them peeling.

Have heard that paper labels are more likely to cause problems on dvds because of the faster read speed and if the label isn't properly centered it can cause the dvd to skip, for that reason for printing on my dvds I always use the casio cw50 disc title printer which is a thermal printer that prints directly to cds or dvds, you can get it at an office supply store like Staples for around eighty bucks.

The printer ribbons for it go for around 8-10 bucks each and can be used to print to 50 discs and they come in black, red or blue ribbons.

I use a Canon i865, but I'm led to believe that if you're in USA or Canada you won't be able to purchase any Canon CD/DVD-printable printers unless you buy from across the pond due to a patent issue between Epson and Canon.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  8. For god sake, don't use LABELS on DVDs. They almost always cause problems, if not now then somewhere along the line you'll realise that all your DVDs have been ruined.

The printers do a good job, tho u must take care not to touch the disc with wet hands or the color runs off.
The Epson R200 is great, i live in Australia and there's no patent probs here. You need to buy printable discs for the job to be done.
