I've got an 8 second animation that I want to turn into an hour long seamless loop, but I don't want to render an hour long animation. Any Ideas?
I came close with DVD Studio Pro, but when I played it back in a stand alone DVD player, there was a half second pause where the animation in point and out point met. It played back seamlessly on my computer.

  2. In that case, your hard drive iss a lot faster than a dvd drive (the lens must return to the beginning of the track and it takes some times)

Yes, in most case you will get a little pause at the point it loops back. You just may have to create as many instances of that video to give you the hour long file. It is a piece of cake in VEGAS. Load the file and grab the end and strech it to the time you want it to be. Render out. You are done.

If it is truly seamless (the end matches up with the beginning), simply use womble or tmpgenc to merge 350 or so instances of the clip to make the hour long one.

Thanks everybody for your replies. I happened to have tmpgenc, so Supreme2k, your solution worked perfectly! You are the man! You guys were right about the lens returning to the beginning of the track, thus causing the pause.
