I'm having tons of trouble converting a few mpeg2 files....i've tried different conversion utilities and i can't get the same quality as the original, actually it isn't really close....the only program that i have successfully used to burn a dvd is dvd santa, but santa won't convert mpeg2 files....does anyone know of a good program free or not that will either convert these files to be able to be used in dvd santa or another program that will do all of them, it would be worth it to invest in a program if it saves me tons of time playing with settings to get good quality, thanks a lot

If you have mpeg-2 files, and they are compliant (correct resolution and framerates, within spec bitrates) then what you need is an authoring program. Forget DVD Santa. Look at Tmpgenc DVD Author as a god beginner to intermediate authorign package.
If you need a one click wonder, look at DivxtoDVD instead of DVD Santa.Read my blog here.
