error message on dvd player

I just got a Zenith progressive scan player. I put in the dvd+r disc that I burned from the benq dvd burner and it's saying check disc. What do I need to do to play the disc in the player?

have you tried setting the book type to dvd-rom? maybe the player doesnt play dvd+r discs.. it might if you set the book type to dvd-rom.. you could also try dvd-r discs.

It could also be that your player doesn't/can't read the particular brand (read: media code) of disc that you're using.

Try different format discs (+ and -), try bitsetting and try different brands of media.

I just downloaded nero express. Do I need to put in the burned disc then convert it over to dvd rom. When I click the button that says check media it says dvd-rom

First of all, we don't know what you did. Did you burn a DVD? Did you burn a file to DVD-ROM format on DVD+R? Secondly, please read the first 2 responses to your post. People are telling you what to do to try to make it work. Your last post shows that you have missed what they are trying to tell you.
