This one is as easy as it gets, we are all here (almost all) because we write dvd's, now, the big Q is:
What is your favorite type of media?, what kind of DVD's do you write the most?
(I'm assuming that your favorite media is the one you write the most)

I usually only use CDs but I made a few DVD+R before.
The're noting wrong with the floppies! Still the easiest to use and most universal.
VHS forever. -
I don't write on mine anymore. I use my Epson R200 for that

Lappy is + and desktop is +/- so I tend to use + more but do have a couple of - around.

Taiyo Yuden or RitekG04 media (I'm on my first 100 spindle of TY)
DVD-R -
DVD-R on my 4x burner. Don't use it but a couple times a week, so no big deal to me. It works, why pay 70 bucks for a new one?

DVD-R good prices online, they work with with my PC as well as the built in software on my Mac. Also no worry about remembering to BitSet if I want it to work on some of the older machines at work.

Mostly DVD-R (Ritek) but I also use DVD+R/RW
I don't have much luck with TY - I end up with fakes all the time, so I don't even bother.
Never had trouble with Ritek. -

usually write to CD-R (MiniDVD) since most of my stuff is under 20 min. For Full Length movies, DVD-R is the norm.

+R, because despite the fact that my burner is supposed to be a "Super-Multi", RW's take FOREVER and it just doen't like -R....

I'm DVD-R person. I start with Pioneer AO4 and a Panasonic E80. later I got a LG burner that does DVD+R. I have 25 DVD+RW for test and data back up.

For rewritables, plus, for write once minus.
Until recently with my old dunga Pioneer burner, it would only write minus rewritable at 1x, but plus at 2.4 speed, a no brainer there.
Now with my new 16x burner I continue to use the 4x plus rewritable coz thats what I have, but whatever 8X or 16X rewritable media I get my hands on first will do!
I dont really give a toss which media I use, what ever is cheapest on the day, they all work in my burner and players, so dont care!
