    Hi there

I'm about to order Taiyo Yuden DVDR discs from www.os-mediatrade.de

Have read a lot about them selling genuine TY's.

But I'm not sure if I should order +R or -R

    YUDEN000T02 or TYG02

My burner is NEC ND-3520 (fw 3.04)

    Or it dosen't matter perhaps?

    Regards
    snabel

What really matters is what discs your set top will play without any issue.
Send an email to info@rima.com, tell them that you just got your burner and that you would like a sample of item #1733 and #1736 - that's the 8x DVD+R and DVD-R respectively for the Taiyo Yuden. Then burn a movie to both discs and see which one your player likes (hopefully both). Dont forget to set the booktype on the DVD+R disc to dvd-rom.

    Have fun..

I prefer the TY DVD+R discs, given the choice of TY.
That said, I prefer DVD-R media in general.

I agree with Smurf...my media of choice, not only over TY-R, but over anything, is TY+R.. I've never had a problem with it, ever, even burning 8x media at 16x.
Also, some of my (including my very) best scans have come from T02 media..

I guess I'll go for the YUDEN000T02 discs then...

    Thanks for your answers!

How do I do that? Does NEC burners support this?
