I've ripped one big vob file (rather than separates - it's 2GB ish) from a DVD, demuxed to separate the .wav audio out and d2v file out in DVD2AVI.
Then I've transferred the d2v_vfapi.avi file into Virtual Dub, applied two filters (one to resize to cut off the wonky edges from an analogue camera, the other to up brightness and reduce contrast).
I have then frameserved this video only into TMpgenc, using ES Video only, PAL DVD 25fps, CBR of 9537 (maximum allowed, as the AC3 is 256kbps).
After 2 hours encoding (about right - the film is 56 mins 45 secs), the resulting m2v file is 3.78GB. The ac3 file is 106MB.
When I use ifoedit to remux the two streams (m2v and ac3 - reencoded from the wav file : I know it works as I've used it before), the file is separated out into 4 vobs. The first vob is fine. The second to fourth vobs, however, have no picture (black screen) only sound...
What the heck am I doing wrong ? Been driving me nuts. I've tried using DVDLab just to remux the video and ac3, but that failed too - something about non-compliance.
Any help you can give me folks ?
