    Is it possible to convert stereo to Ac-3
    I was thinking about burning dvd-r from my svcd cd's, but want to have the AC-3 sound on DVD's

    Yes it is possible through a progrma called Soft Encode. However, I really feel that it is a waste of time. It won't sound any better because you source is now stereo. I think it would be better to leave as is, less headache in the long run.
