Hey gang,
I upload widescreen 16:9 footage via firewire from my mini-dv camcorder and do some editing in Vegas. When I render my edited footage I've always used NTSC DV Widescreen as the template, but what about these other templates?
-NTSC DV 24; (inserting 2-3 pulldown)
-NTSC DV Widescreen 24p (2-3 pulldown)
-NTSC DV 24p (inserting 2-3-3-2 pulldown)
-NTSC DV Widescreen 24p (2-3-3-3 pulldown)
I'm curious to know, because of now, when I encode with TMPGenc Plus or Express with all source settings for encode set to 16:9 it seems that my picture is a little squished on my regular TV whereas my rented movies in widescreen seem fine (with the black bars on top and bottom). I just want to make sure I'm doing everything right for widescreen authoring.
Thanks,
Lex
