  1. Hi, I have a 17" Powerbook G4 1.5GHz. I am stumped. I use DVDbackup, DVD2oneX and Toast 6 Titanium to make copies of my DVD. with no problem. However, when I use MacTheRipper, DVD2oneX and Toast 6, the dvd would only play on my computer and not my dvd player. any ideas?

It's just you. The software doesn't like you!

Alternately your DVD player may suck.

Actually what you're saying is useless without any context, such as what DVD player you're using what method of rip/compression you use etc... If anyone is going to to answer your question they will need allot more information to go on that that.

One common cause of this is having the type of data disk set wrong in Toast. It must be set for "DVD-ROM (UDF)" which is only available under "advanced". If it's set for one of the others like "Mac & PC" Most computers will play it, but most stand-alone DVD players won't see it as a playable DVD.

another possible explanation is that the OP has an older dvd player that can't read discs burned on computers.
