  1. Can someone tell me which is the best keyboard for watching videos from the couch on your computer.
This is what I think is needed
    - control Windows Media player with keyboard special keys (Instead of using the mouse to control the bar from far away) So I can go forward pause or reverse on a movie
    - Will stay connected at least 6 feet away.
    - Has a trackball because mousing on the air 6' away is difficult (but will live with a standard wireless mouse)
    - May be bluetooth or any technology as long as I get 6' coverage. (2 meters)

  2. Try a RF remote, you can get them on Ebay cheap.

I use microsoft optical desktop elite with a media PC. The mouse works on the arms of couches or even on my lap. The keyboard includes an assortment of hotkeys to load all your media specific programs and includes stop/ff/rev/pause etc. for media files at the touch of a button.

Mine is a bluetooth desktop, but there is also an RF version which works the same way. A friend has the RF model and besides having to recharge or replace batteries more often in the RF model, we see no difference between the two.
