  1. Hi
I had a VHS(PAL) tape of some homemovies I did. I had this transferred to DVD(NTSC, as I now live in the USA). I'm now using Vegas Studio to create fancy titles, credits, etc. and I'm using Womble MPEG Wizard to edit the whole thing together (Vegas could not read the VOBs I got from the DVD).

I'd like to be able to have both an NTSC version and a PAL version of my creation. My question is - how do I create a PAL version? Can I simply do everything as I would for NTSC but select PAL output on Womble MPEG Wizard during the export phase?

Also, do you lose quality on re-encoding to PAL in this way?

    Thanks!

The vast majority of (new-ish) DVD players and TVs in PAL-land are also set up to also play NTSC, so a PAL version wouldn't be required. Sadly for people in NTSC-land, the opposite doesn't really apply.

In short, you should be lucky and not need to do a PAL version.
There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

    Carpe diem.

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.
