... ditteny-dit-ditttenny-dit-ditttennny-deeeeeeeee - you know the noise -when you are listening to the radio in the car, or watching the TV in the house, just before you receive a call? Or mebbe just the phone itself taking stock of where its at? Its OK if its my cellphone - I can put it away somewhere safe, so that it does not make an 'unwelcome intervention' on my analog-to-digital conversions, using my Canopus; nor during video-compression to the XviD format. But ... the neighbors' cellphone(s)? These pose a sticky problem, watching my favorite movie, and there, you've guessed it - THE PHONE NOISE!!! It seems to get in unaided, and unasked for, and always at the best moment in the movie. But over the neighbors' cellphone(s) I have NO control - and they are just yards away thro the wall. Anyone with bright ideas as to how to stall the relentless march of technology ... and come up with a filter or something to "quell the cell?"

    Stonechatz,

    You might try...

    Wi-Fi Shielding Paint

I have no idea how well this works, but it's a clever idea.

Force Field Wireless makes three products that it says can dramatically reduce the leakage of wireless signals from a room or building.
