    My greetings to you
I'm copying my homemade videos dvd to dvd hockey games actually.
I'm burning using a nec 3600 16x, on sony +r 8x and copying from my dvd rom in a toshiba laptop. Using alcohol 120% it reports at the end of the copy/burn that the average burn speed was 2.4 or there abouts.
I was expecting a faster burn. What am I missing here? Input apreciated

  2. Could be a firmware issue with your DVD writer.
Check to see if your writer's firmware is up to date and also check the write speed capabilities of your drive to different types of media.
You could also try ripping the original DVD to your hard drive and burning from there, it may give faster results.
