hey all
i use TMPGEnc to convert my captured avi's to mpg
usually my avi's are between 14 & 17 Gigs and it usually takes about 3:30 to 4 hours for each file
but right now i'm trying out something new to (hopefully) cut one of the steps out of my process
I'm using AviUtl to frameserve one of 3 files to TMPGEnc on a batch conversion
the frameserved file is only projected to take about 2 & a half hours (it's about halfway through right now)
why would frameserving make such a big difference in time?
