Hey all.. sure this has been covered elsewhere, but I'm having a hard time tracking down what I need, so I'll just ask...
Got a PAL avi that I want to use Nero Ultimate 6 to convert to an NTSC VCD to burn... can't find the PAL conversion command... looking for instructions, please help![]()

If you use Nero Vision Express the last step will ask if you want to convert t NTSC if you have set up you preference to NTSC. It is the last screen where you set up burn options. I believe it is the more option box on the bottom if you don't have this set up yet.

Yes, it is. Be aware, however, that Nero's PAL->NTSC is pretty mediocre.

Thanks Craiggus...
Gurm... as you probably know your way around this site better, do you know a link to a tutorial for this specific command and software offhand? Just wondering; don't go out of your wayDoc, AKA dalek7

It's like Craiggus said - the very last step before you convert lets you pick the output mode - NTSC or PAL. It defaults to whatever the input mode is, but you can toggle it. If I recall correctly, you'll have to hit "more options" to see the option though.
Hope this helps. -
Thanks.
Sorry, I'm actually forwarding this info to a friend who's converting for me, as his PC has more processing power.Doc, AKA dalek7

OK... Still can't find a specific feature that converts, specifically, PAL to NTSC.
I now have NERO 6 ULTRA, opened NERO EXPRESS and selected my file that I am going to make into a VCD... No pop-up before burning showed up, and no where else can I find anything that mentions PAL or NTSC.... any help would be apreciated.Doc, AKA dalek7

Depending on your player, you may not have to worry about. My POS Panasonic RV32, which only like DVD-R and DVD+R DL set as DVD-ROM play PAL VCD with no problem. PAL DVD is another story though.

Couldn't you just change the frame rate from pal 25fps to 23.976 or 29fps ntsc.
