  2. Here's my checklist:

*Make sure you have the latest drivers for the card
*Make sure you have the latest version of DirectX
*Make sure line-in is selected as the record source, including in Windows volume settings
*Make sure line-in is not muted in playback settings in Windows (unbelievably this is an option, and the default one at that - and it will override the selection of line-in as the recording device)
*Make sure you plugged your AIW into the line-in on your soundcard

it looks like it is?? it says it is

    its not muted

*Make sure you plugged your AIW into the line-in on your soundcard

  4. I'm not quite sure at this point. If line-in (and not microphone) is selected in Windows volume control/recording settings, the volume is turned up sufficiently, it is not muted, and all the drivers are up to date, I'm not sure what else to check.

  5. Sounds like an issue with the wrapper.

Try bypassing the videocard by plugging the line in from your source directly to the sound card.

If you get audio that way, then the card's drivers aren't enabling the audio on captures coming through the VFWWDM wrapper. You probably can't capture at resolutions over ??? X 240 either. Same problems with the WinTV-FM cards.

  6. Just as an aside, I've had no problem capturing at resolutions up to 720x480 with my AIW 128 running in WinXP.

  7. kinneera, Is that with the MMC software or with VirtualDub?
Just curious if you can get full frame captures with VFW based captures apps on that card under XP.

Because sillyrabbit, trix are for kids!..lol sorry

The reason it may work with mmc and not vdub is beacuse it is vdub talking to the card and not mmc, one thing you could try is to open mmc make sure you have sound then close it and open vdub. If that doesn't work then I would try connecting an audio source to your line in on your audio card and see if you get audio in vdub, even if you are capyuring off the tuner it doesn't matter, we are looking at finding the problem, if this works it is the way vdub is working with your video card. If it doesn't then it is vdub not picking up the sound from your sound card, see!
