Guys I use nero to convert avi.files or mpeg files to dvd, but not all files are converted for some reason they freeze or just stop converting please advice me if there is a better program to convert avi. files or wmv or mpeg files to dvd other than nero.

I use TMPGEnc Plus, but the steps required depend on what exactly you have - AVI isn't real specific, as it's just a container - you need to know what codec is being used. Then there's VBR MP3 audio ...
Far from being a "one size fits all" solution, my guide http://members.dodo.net.au/~jimmalenko/AVI2DVD.htm should be able to help you out with most files.
Short of that, IMO you really need to post some GSpot or AVICodec screendumps so we can see exactly what you're dealing with, and then give advice specific to those needsIf in doubt, Google it. -
pretty much anything is going to do a better job than nero
TMPGEnc seems to be the favorite tho

I like VSO DivXToDVD which will convert both AVI and MPEG to DVD.
