  1. Hi there!

I've got this long-file mp3 album that I have to split to separate files so I can actually choose the track that I want.
Problem is: I've tried to use a mp3-cut software but was kinda of annoyed cause (example if I cut the first song at 2:07, and the next song I work on put the values at 2:07, It will begin with a little of the end of the first track.

meaning......I need a precise tool that understand what it's doing, separating tracks.

I've tried using Nero - split tool... but I can't understand how it works, specially for a lot of tracks! All I need is separate tracks...

    thanx for any help!

I would recommend using an audio editing tool. Open the file from the audio editor, view the waveform, scroll to the points where you want to cut and save the individual segments.
The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.

  3. But it would return a bad audio comparing to the first one. I can notice audio-loss when saving again (re-compressing) from the original mp3.
Since its an opera, it's important to keep quality!
    but thanks anyway,
if anyone has any other idea I would really appreciate

If you wanted quality, you should have stayed away from mp3 in the first place. I assume you don't have the original or you would just grab that track again. Most albums/CDs have a 2 second seperation between tracks, so you have a fair bit of space to play with. Tray starting the enxt track 2.08 instead.

  5. You need an audio edit sofware and maybe a sofware to organize, split and burn the cd.

I work with mp3, excelents results to make audio cd. I'd like to recomend the softwares but I'm not sure if its allowable.

Yes, goldwave is an excellent choice, but you could also use Nero wave editor (just a bit more complicated.).

I usually have to split large wave files into smaller ones during the process of transferring minidisc recording to CD.
