    hi

i use tmpgenc plus to convert two avi files to mpg. It is one movie so i used the merging option to merge both mpg files. everything seems to work fine on the new file, until it gets to the part where the files were merged the audio is out of sync (about 7 seconds before video).

also, what do i have to do if the file is too big to fit on a standard dvd(4.7GB)? is there a program i could use to compress the file without screwing everything all up or should i just make two seperate disks? im looking for the simplest way here.

    thanks

ive never used tmpgenc plus but see in the enviromental settings if there is a option to load both avi's as one movie some versions have this option, you may have to rename the avi's suquencially so it will see them. load your dvd template then load the unlock template and play with the settings to see iy you get a smaller file size.

as far as the audio sync problen you might try playing with the audio delay settings, encode a couple of minutes at the beginning and towards the end and see if the sync gets better, its trial and error.i have noticed a sync problem when merging in tmpgenc with captured video.you could always just encode the video's seprately and burn seprately on a dvd the dvd player will see it as one movie also after playing the first it will play the second one if thats what youre trying to do.what is the avi bit rate ,codec and resolution?
