  1. I have an MPG that was downloaded and seems to be messed up. The MPG is 8 minutes long, and plays fine in Power DVD, but all other apps see it as 16 seconds long.
I've tried opeing it in Vdub, opening it with Vdub using an Avisynth script, and also tried loading it into TMPGEnc by frameserving and actually opening the file directly.
Using these methods, I can seek through the video, and see the entire thing right to the end (although seeking is slow as hell), but still these programs insist that it is 16 secs long and will always spit out a file that is 16 secs.
I tried running this through the TMPGEnc "edit/merge" feature to see if that would correct the problem, and it actually gave me 45 secs, but that's the best it could do. I also tried RADtools, but no luck.
Any ideas on how to fix this, please let me know. It's probably a header issue or something, but it's proving to be a somewhat tough nut.

    Thanks!

  3. Yeah, I thought so too. That's one of the first things I tried after Vdub flopped. That worked the best so far, I got 45 secs instead of just 16. Just have to figure out a way to get the last 7min 15 sec now!
