I'm testing CCE SP trial to see how good it is compared to procoder. I'm trying a VBR pass 3-5 times, and I'm getting errors simular to the following on each pass. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
My avi file was created using SonyVegas 5, non progressive, with Sony YUV Codec.
Thanks!

I have had this experience with CCE and a particular avi source in the past - see https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=254030&highlight=
Open the source avi file with VirtualDUB and move on to frame 8610. Move frame by frame to the next 5 frames and pay close attention to frame 8613 or 8612. There is something tricky there.
In the case of the AVI file I encountered this message, TV capture was interrupted by static due to a brief failure in the TV broadcast. The "high energy" of the static caused CCE quantizer to go out of scale.
In your case, there might be something wrong with field merging (do you have a cut there?) or something else.
Would be interesting to know what the cause is.The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.
