if that ain't a photochop or fake money then a £50 scrap car driven at speed would take that out easily. If it didn't break I'm pretty sure the panel would come off, so another £50 scrap van would come in handy to transport the panel away

3M recently completed an amazing poster-stunt in Vancouver, Canada. They prepped a bus shelter ad with a 3M product called Scotchshield, a see-through film that you can apply to glass which makes it near bulletproof, and filled the postersite with lots of play money, and 500 real Canadian dollars for good measure.
After that they could just sit back and watch the mayhem.....As passers by did their best to put the Scotchshield to the test, kicking the glass, taking sledgehammers to the glass and going all sorts of crazy over it, the glass withstood the pressures and did not budge. It did not break, it could not be broken. Shame one can't say the same about the aluminum frame which was breached, at that point security guards called a time-out as that was cheating. Canadian local and national news shows reported on all the crazy attempts to get into the poster for the cash, all in all 3M got a lot of press for their money - remember there was only 500 real dollars in there and a single poster site was rented for only one day.

  5. Thanks for that detail Bodyslide.
    Only 500 dollars! Ha HA!

A similar ad “ripoff” was conducted, advertising that
a hot air balloon would drop money over a
sporting oval. Thousands turned up only to
get covered mostly in fake paper money.

Only about $100 in dollar notes were dropped
in between many thousands of pieces of paper.

Free TV spots on the local News and free press to
    boot. hehe

  6. Very nice marketing IMO. Rates up there with a picture of a bilboard I saw that was nothing but numbers. If you tanslated them from ASCII, it said "Now Hiring"

    Diamond tipped demo saw?
    Metal powder torch?
    Freeze first, then break.

Given time and money I feel confident that I could get into anything.

I wonder what size bullets it is rated up to. I have seen some samples of bullet proof plastic that were amazing. I have also seen a sabot round designed for just such purposes. (One mean little bullet)
IS IT SUPPOSED TO SMOKE LIKE THAT?

That's got to be more than $500...but I am sure if it were as much money as what it looks like, someone would have already stolen it.

I live in Vancouver, but this is the first i've heard of this. it's apparently true, at a bus stop at the corner of Broughton and Pender. If i have time i'll go see if it's still there.

did a little more research, apparently no one could break the glass, but someone did manage to bend the aluminum frame, which security guards said was cheating....it's not there any more.

I noticed that too, but I still think she paid too much, and probably won't be able to sell it before it expires.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.
