My first Internet Media purchase, Prodisc or Fake

I just order Prodisc shiny 100 DVD -r 4x from a store with the word Super in it...u know who they are.

The first couple of disk came up with the Prodisc id....but after that the rest of the bundle was MCC. 01RG20

The "Super" store told me its Mitusbishi chemical brand....but does Prodisc make or get disk from Mitsubishi???? Or have I been tricked and given Faked DVD made by some other company like CMC.

They told me I could return them and gave me a quick response...but if they are selling fakes....i assume not bothering with them at all. Of course...shipping at my expense....

Is there some magic program that can tell a fake from a real??

If its a fake...is there any legit companies out there???

.what I meant by fakes is that the media says TDK or MCC or some high end Japan quality....but really the dvdinfo is fake...

that is, they make the dvdinfo identical to the real stuff....is that possible???

If not....then everything is cool and I got quality disks....I just dont like to get ripped off (I dont think anyone wants to get ripped off either).

ok thanks again......after buying office depot memorex dvd...they were CMC...

It's off 'vcdhelp.com' - also known as the site you're on right now... I don't recall saying that CMC made MCC anyway, don't know why you pointed that out. Now you're are just confusing me with your confusion...

CMC *does* make MCC media as well though, so those Tango discs aren't fakes. They're probably discs that didn't pass MCC's standards to be sold as Verbatim/MKM branded media.
