I typically convert all of my movies from SVCD format to Low Res DVD format (basically 29.97 fps VCD w/ 48khz audio) in TMPGenc - both video and audio with ssrc plugin to do the sample rate conversion... I can burn 4 movies to one DVD this way. (I do this because I am cheap and don't want to use up discs.)
Well, anytime I run across a PAL SVCD I usually just plug it into TMPEnc like normal and the output mpeg works fine. I use the NTSC VCD template with the only change being the 48 khz sample rate conversion. This usually works fine, but on occasion one of the output mpeg's will have a slight audio sync problem... not too often, but it happens. Can someone give me another method to make this conversion?
I am going to continue to process most movies like normal because it is easy and fast, but I was wondering if there is another full proof method that I can use for problem movies.
Thanks
Brian
