I was just trying to convert some avi files that I had on my computer using Nero Vision Express 3. After making the menus and all that, I try to burn the movie, however, it failed in the prepare stage. I got the error "Unable to prepare data for recording: Prepare Session Failed: Transcoding of video files failed." It ran through the menu portion fine and only got this error when it was preparing the movie files. I was just wondering if anyone knows what this error is and how to fix it. Also, I can tell when this will happen because, whenever I'm previewing in Nero (such as when I'm making chapters), there is no sound. If the movie has sound when I preview it then I know it will work, if it doesnt then i know it wont work. I dont think it is an audio problem though, more of a disagreeing format type deal. I've tried research w/ google and have found numerous other posts of this same problem, however, none with a solution.
