For those wondering how I was able to keep version 6, I made a copy before I upgraded to Tiger.

Did you copy just the application or also all of its library files? Did installing Tiger and QT7 remove your Pro support for QT 6? Or was that copyable also?

similar question: can one use only QT 6 in tigert with MPEG2 and Pro and not buy those comp0onents for Tiget?

Yes the MPEG-2 version 6 is compatiable with version 7 as noted here
I did have to reinstall all the plugins, Windows Media, Sorenson, DivX, etc...

2. I had to re-download and install the MPEG component from the Apple store
