I know this doesn't relate to the question but I have also run into this problem and in my opinion it is a lot easier to find other subs. I tried baldrick's suggested siites and they worked good you can also search multiple specific sites on google with the format site:example.com OR lies.com after the search term. I use this when searching multiple sites for subs all the time. Here is what I use: site:http://www.opensubtitles.org/en OR http://subscene.com/ OR http://www.podnapisi.net/ OR http://www.subtitlesource.org/ OR http://www.divxstation.com OR http://www.divxsubtitles.net OR http://www.subbiee.com
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays!

Hi Miles,
I was searching and I saw your post for Converting IDX/SUB to SRT ... well, I tried it as follow ...
1) Use SubToSup ... and convert the IDX to SUP
2) Load up the SUP in DVDSubEdit ... but then it asks me for IFO ... well since my Subtitle is from an AVI file I skip this ...
I run the OCR ... and then Push ".srt" Button and save the Output as SRT.
Now, here is my problem ... the SRT subtitle does NOT SYNC with the Video!!!
Q1: Can you tell me what I am doing wrong? Or how can I get it Right?
Thanks,
G! -
Do the VobSubs (IDX/SUB) synch with the video? If so, maybe try converting the VobSubs to SUP using SubtitleCreator.

Hi Manono,
Yes the VobSubs (IDX/SUB) do Sync with the video ... OK, I will try SubtitleCreator and report back!
THANKS,
G! -
^^ Hi Manono,
Wow ... your suggestion worked like a charm ... now my output SRT is in Sync with the video.
Thanks again!

How to rip DVD Chapter subtitles into Separate/individual srt files (one srt per chapter)?
Thank you -
If the chapters correspond to cells (they usually do) you can first get VobSubs by cell followed by converting the VobSubs to SRT. One way to get VobSubs by cell is with VobSub Configure (included in the VobSub package). Or, you can get SUP files by cell from PGCDemux followed by using an OCR program that accepts SUP files as input. Maybe there are other ways to do it in a single step, but I've never needed to get subs by chapter and don't know of them. Maybe others can help.
