  1. Can you indicate nice places where I can find a good variety of background music for different type of slideshows?

I am looking for any style where I only have the instruments playing, let's say rock, or corporate, or romantic, or reggae, to make it fit with a wide variety of topics I might want to convey in a slideshow. For instance, if I have photos of skiing, I want an action type of background music.

Any ideas where I can get that?

    Hi rbermude,

Do a search in Google for "royalty free music". That should (hopefully) turn up some good results...
There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

Sorry, I don't have any suggestions for sites for music, but I have found that even after you identify the music, it is worthwhile to use a music editing program to edit out the portions you want or to add fade ins and out etc.

I had a lot of music that I thought I could put into slideshows but the song/track was either too short or too long or had a long, slow start. I use audacity (a free tool) to cut out the portions I need. I also sometimes add fade in/out.
