  1. Can some advise how to capture a streaming h.264 video/audio stream from a rtsp:___ URL

Using either 10.3.9 or Tiger OS?

  2. Have you tried watching in Safari and opening up the folder: /private/tmp/501/TemporaryItems by using Shift-Command-G? Look for a large recent file and give it an extension of mov. I have yet to go to QT7 but this was the typical "save the stream" safari hack.

  3. Nothing found at that location nor in the directory /tmp/ where Safari also caches

Seems QT7 will work both on 10.3.9 and 10.4 but capturing h.264 streaming is tricky

Here are the details of the stream in question

    rtsp://neotest.qtv.apple.com/secure/apr/tiger/tiger_300.mov
which was accessed on a deploy.akamaitechnologies.com server via UDP port 6973

Can MPlayer or VLC be configured to stream and capture h.264 streams!?
