DVD-R ok to play when comes from DVDshrink but when authored

1 - I use the same media
2 - Everything ripped mainly commercial DVD on DvdShrink becomes playable
3 - everything authored don´t play

Is correct to assume a issue on files created by Encore or DVD power producer?

any clues will be appreciated. Thanks

What is your process for authoring and burning ?

1 - capture in premiere 6.5 thru firewire uncompressed video
2 - edit
3 - export avi without compression
4 - import asset in Adobe Encore 1.5
5 - Transcode to mpeg2 7mbps CBR Dolby AC3
6 - author menus
7 - check project links and errors
8 - Build DVD folder (I do not export directly to DVD media)
9 - DVD SHrink open DVD folder and burn with nero

Why the same media works when I´m ripping a commercial DVD and don´t authored DVD?

I cannot understand.

Try burning with something other than Nero; perhaps CopyToDVD or DVDDecrypter.
