I have had success backing up almost all of my DVD, but when I get to the older Austion Powers, International Man of Mystery, I am running into problems.

How I have had success in the past was first using DVD-Decryptor 3.5.4 and then using DVDshrink 3.2 and then finally burning with Nero express, but with this Austion Powers DVD, I am getting the following error (hope the jpeg uploads ok).

Is there anything else I can try?

You are getting a read error on the disc. First try cleaning it to remove any dirt and smudges. You might also try using a different DVD-ROM or try reading it from the burner instead. If that doesn't help, look for scratches on the disc. Although I have never tried it, some suggest that the scratch can be removed by rubbing it with a moist cloth and a bit of toothpaste.

The disc is rather abused, but didn't look scratched. I'll give those suggestions a try. Thanks

  4. I too have the same problem using my Pioneer dvr109 (1.40 firmware).

All the dvd`s i have tried are in absolute perfect condition, but i still get the I/O error!

When i use DVDShrink i also get an error, but then it says something lie: ERROR, CANT READ FROM READ E" (my drive letter is E).

What can i do, when i try my dvr106 i do not have this error (with any program).

The dvr109 is master, the dvr106 is slave.

    In short: HELP!!!
