ILO DVDRHD04 and Rewritables

I cannot get my Ilo DVR to write decently to rewriteable disks.

For some reason, after a program reaches 99%, it just kind of hangs there for about a minute before it manages to finish, and once the entire disk is complete, I find trying to play it, the sound drifts in and out, and things keep freezing up.

Can anybody else get rewritables to work well on this unit?

Have any of the firmware advances improved rewritable writing?

Or do I just have to accept that I can't use rewritables with this unit?

You are probably using an incompatible +RW disc.

I only record to the hard drive and +RW discs on my HD04. I picked up a 10 pack of HP 4X +RW from OfficeMax. The media code identifies these discs as Philips. Many others have been recording to Ritek 4X +RW discs.

My HD04 came with a FUJI +RW disc. If your unit cannot record to the included FUJI disc, it needs to go back to Wallyworld.

I have been using Verbatim DVD+RW disk's. Not one problem, whether the disk was erased. full, or not full.
