Advice 4 DvdAuthorGUI errors on first attempt

I am trying to learn how to create my own custom menus with dvdAuthorGUI and I think I did soething wrong because when I "author" it, I get a message that says there are errors and to read the log (http://users.zoominternet.net/~vancevp/DVDAuthorLOG.txt) and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with what the problem might be?

I answered this via email as well, since you emailed me. The 'SCR moves backwards' is an indication that you should demultiplex your mpeg files, and use the elementry (m2v, ac3) streams. You can demultiplex with tmpgenc's mpeg tools, or batchdemux which is featured on my download page.

I have spent the past couple of days trying to follow your suggestions, both here and in your email and I don't seem to be making any headway.

I got the elementary m2v and ac3 streams by demultiplexing with TMPGenc. After the program had done its thing, I looked at the log and it seems to have multiplexed the titles and menus and generated the button images all okay, but I got a ton of warnings "Discontinuity in audio channel 8; please remultiplex input." and a writing error. I have no clue as to what to do to try and correct this.

I know that I am not as stupid as I may sound, but I'm just not getting the hang of this reauthoring stuff. Maybe I should just bag this and try something for the simple minded.

I do want to learn this stuff so any suggestions, comments or help would be greatly appreciated.

I have had the same errors before, but working with Gui for dvdauthor. Both programs are using the same multiplexing engine AFAIK. The disc played OK though, but as you ( ) I wanted to make it errorless. So I came to the following workthrough:
1. Multiplex the files using MuxMan. It will make DVD files without menu.
2. Using vstrip resaving the multiple vob's as one big vob
3. Rename the big .vob -> .mpg
4. Open this .mpg in GFD. Create menues and other stuff. Author - the errors gone.

I have used the same approach as abond (for a diffent purpose - subtitles in sup format). If the material is 100% dvd compliant it works fine with muxman. Could someone with a "good standing" in doom9 ask the writer of muxman to have a "multiplex only" mode? Mplex has some problems (ok, my dvb-s captures never failed so far), but also to multiplex sup files a "multiplex only" muxman would be a great choice...
