I just burned my first DL+R disk, a 2.4x ritek. This was my first DL movie using my Pioneer A09. The disk burned with no problems and for the first hour it played perfectly. Then we had the tiny pause to switch layers. About 5 minutes later it frooze and sat there for about 45 seconds and then moved up about 2 chapters. Would this be a disk problem, a set top player problem? I don't think its a burn problem. Thanks.

you should have used,dvd decrypter.
ISO-read,ISO-write.
just backup the original that way, theres no need to rip at all, nero and others **** up the layer changing, and teh second layer with my nero burns, have caused problems.
also, make sure that the firmware on the A09 is up to date, version 1.40 is the latest.LifeStudies 1.01 - The Angle Of The Dangle Is Indirectly Proportionate To The Heat Of The Beat,Provided The Mass Of The Ass Is Constant. -
I can try that next time. I did use that program to rip but not to burn. Thanks.

Actually I played the disk in my wifes player, a newer philps model and it played fine with no skip or hangs. I am trying what you suggested for my living room player. I will let you know what happens.

I could be that the older player is the problem, having trouble reading it. Is the bitsetting set to dvd-rom? This may help with playback in standalone players
