How to convert licensed files into DVD format

Hey Guys

First up I am not a newbie have been converting for years.

I have just come across a problem with a video

When the video is first player it applies for a license (ie you enter your username/password) to get access, then you can play for 6 months before it asks you again to confirm the licence.

Problem I have is file is a .wmv file and I cannot get any of my usual encoders to read it successfully (I would presume because of the license).

I've got a funny feeling that one of the conditions of your username/password license is that the file is for viewing on a PC only. Otherwise they'd just let you download the file unhindered, wouldn't they ?

Try TV out from a PC!

As Jim said, the license prohibits this. AFAIK, there is no way to convert these to another format.
