    This is an interesting story. It appears a few people want to change the current film marketing business model so that theater releases "coincide" with a film's release on DVD and on cable channels:

  4. What I think the studios should do is release the DVD of the movie *the month* that it is taken from the theatres. They should put the DVD together when the film is in the theatres, then release it right away. I hate waiting to get a movie that I like on DVD for 6 months after it has been taken out of theatres

    Actually, many of the New To DVD Releases are still playing at the dollar theaters near me. Although, there are not actually all that many dollar theaters near me...
