    well I just was working on a new post in the DVD to DVDr forum and I evidently hit the backspace ... puufff .... new post was gone

    Is this normal?????

    BTW I am running IE 6.0.2900.2180
    XP pro sp2

  2. sounds to me like you weren't in the message window anymore and then the backspace key reverts to the back button in IE

    Sometimes, but not always...if you hit the forward button (or Shift+Backspace) what you typed will still be there.

  6. ya that happens to me sometime, if you just press alt+right arrow it will bring you back to your reply and it will still be there, i just tried it now and it worked fine.

    If I hit the submit button and it don't immediately get submitted I really quick highlight and copy the post.

    I always hit Ctrl+A (Select All), then Ctrl+C (Copy) on my post before I click Submit, just in case. There's nothing worse than typing up a very detailed response, losing it, then trying to remember word for word what you typed.
