Hey Guys,
I am having issues with burning movies. I encode then author blah blah... I play the movie on my DVD player, it works great but my sister plays it on hers and he tends to skip/ freeze etc. She has a new DVD player and is compatible to MP3 DVDR etc...
Is there something I am not setting up right during the burning process? I am using DVD-R disc.
Thanks

Some dvd players can play dvd+/-r with no problems even if they are crappy discs, other dvd players are very picky and will choke on these discs.

Is there a tutorial somewheres to help prevent this? Like a tute to the best way to burn movie for most DVD players.
See, I am using tmpge encode and tmpge author to help me enocde/author these movies I have (they are VCD). I believe there might be a setting that I am doing wrong when I encode.
Just like now, I tried to encode a .AVI and the movie burned and all but there was no sound.
I just like to know what settings are the best to have these movies play on most dvd players
Thanks again -
The best thing to do is buy better media such as made in japan brands,do a search on these types of dvds, you will get a thousand links and answers. As to no sound thats a very common problem with tmpgenc, doing a search will give you the answer.
