I have some DVDs that I burned and that I know work. They all play in both my DVD players but when I try copying them back to my PC I get CRC errors.

Is there any programs that will help copy the data off my DVD-R? Right now I am using DVDshrink to copy the data but it's not working. ANy other suggestions would be very helpful.

You might try ISObuster. It can sometimes read problem discs that other programs have problems with. CRC errors usually indicate corrupted data on the disc or a DVD reader with problems. DVDDecrypter can also do this to some degree.

One other thought -- CRC errors almost always indicate a disc which has dirt, grime, smudges, fingermarks, or sometimes scratches. If you have not, try to CLEAN the backup discs in question.

As mentioned above, the two programs suggested above (ISObuster and DVDDecrypter) are sometimes better at ignoring dirty discs than DVDShrink is. I have found many discs which DVDShrink choked on with Cyclic Redundancy Errors (CRC errors), but DVDDecrypter managed to get through without a sweat.

And, if you have two DVD drives in your PC, you might also try the other drive. I have sometimes found that my DVD-Rom (reader) chokes on a dirty or damaged discs but my DVD writer is better at ignoring such errors. Some hardware is simply more "tolerant" of such problems than other devices are.
