Windows Media Player and Mpeg2

Hi guys,

I have a movie that i compressed in Mpeg2 format. If you play it in normal software dvd playback software such as Power DVD, its fine. But if you play it back in Windows Media Player it will go out of sync if you stop it, pause it fast forward or rewind. if you let it play through, its fine. but cannot stop it ever.

Anyone know what the problem might be ?

it's a 720x480 mpeg2 file, 23.976 fps, 48k audio, VBR - 6000 max, avg 5200. Compressed out of Premiere 6.5
