I have already updated my firmware on A08 a few times useing Hacked firmware... but I wasn't sure If it's possible to go back to pioneer's firmware.
I went to pioneer's site and downloaded the NEW bios and it wouldn't load... (because it couldn't find pioneer a08 drive...) because I have piodata firmware loaded on it.
i have R8100108.120 from pioneer's site
i have DVRFlash.exe
i have gradius v1.18 Converting Pioneer DVR-A08/108 into a true Pioneer DVR-108DX/DVR-A08DX already loaded on drive.
So can I use Gradius : R8150008.110 file plus pioneer's R8100108.120 to make Pioneer Firmware upgrade?
(it seems dvrFlash uses 2 files to flash ... and I have the one from pioneer's site ... I just wasn't sure what the other file would be and where to get it...
If you know the dvrFlash.exe COMMAND ... I wouldn't mind if you pasted it here.
(the one I used before that worked was :
c:\>dvrflash -vf X: R8150008.110 R8150108.118 )
I am not gonna proceed until I get feedback from you guys. Point me to LINK or program or files I need to convert back to Pioneer's Latest Firmware.
Thanks

I have recently purchased a Pioneer 108D (OEM) and flashed the drive
with F/W from Gradius v1.18 and the burner is working like a charm.
Goto gradius.com and download the file
"DVR-A08/108D drive into a true DVR-A08DX/108DX".
(support DVD-R @ 16x max and DVD-RW @ 4x max)
Another benefit of this F/W is automatic bookmark for +R blanks.
After unzipping the files (3) place them in the Folder bearing your
name in the Documents and Settings Folder.
IMPORTANT Note:
Make sure the "Intel Application Accelerator" is not installed.
Goto command prompt and "TYPE" the following command
(Note: you cannot copy and paste into Command Prompt)
C:\Documents and Settings\blinky\>dvrflash -vf X: R8150008.110 R8150108.118
NOTE: In that command statement "X" represents your burner DRIVE letter
..eg.. D or E etc. and "blinky" represents the name that appears after
"Documents and Settings" when opening Command Prompt. -
Hi rgtaa,
Curious to know why you want to flash your burner back to the original Pioneer F/W 1.18, are you having problems with the Piodata F/W you presently have installed.
Piodata is the daughter company of Pioneer and since flashing my 108D with the F/W you have installed, it has performed flawlessly.
The added feature of auto bitsetting to DVD-ROM for +R blanks is a bonus ..ie.. if you ever have to send a disc to someone with a vintage DVD player. Many older players will not play +R and may not play -R.
Those players will play DVD-ROM formatted disc's. -
no i wasn't having problems with the piodata ... but I was trying to get info on how to flash upgrade back to NEWEST Pioneer firmware ... since the Piodata firmwire version is older.
