  1. Hello folks,
Long time lurker, first time poster. I have been authoring a dvd in DVDauthorGUI and adding my own subtitle file. After a bit of trial and error I think I've got the hang of it EXCEPT that when the subtitles are displayed longer lines tend to get cramped up in the middle, leaving an unseemly block of titles in the middle of the screen obscuring the picture.
I have checked and re-checked the sub file in subtitle workshop, and it looks fine there. Basically its something to do with the subtitle border width. Does anyone know how I can make this a bit wider?

Sorry If i have't explaind this very well, but i am new at this!

  2. Maybe it would help to use a smaller font...

  3. No the font size is fine, as is the alignment. But when subtitles are dispayed there seems to be space to left and right of the title. I would like to utilise this space.

EDIT: On the subtitles options menu there are settings for left right top and bottom margin, It could be one of those???

  4. Yes, I don't remember the dialog in DVDauthorGUI exactly, but it is pretty much the same as in Gui for dvdauthor. Try to set the left and right margins to smaller values (like 20) and test with a small part of your movie.
