  1. I have connected my VCR, an LG LV220 to my Aver capture card using the composite connection through a scart adaptor on the player. All I am getting is a black screen. I know the card is working ok as I have already managed to capture video from a camera. My card is the one with 2 connections on the back of it. I have tried playing around with my settings i.e making sure it was setup to receive composite signals and now I am completely stumped as to what to try next, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated,

    Cheers.

Make sure the video and audio cables are plugged into the audio/video out on the vcr scart adapter.

  3. I double checked, the only connection on the VCR is a scart connector on the back, I have the composite leads connected to the scart adaptor with the leads in the relevant places but still no picture or sound.

Can you connect the outputs to your tv inputs to see if you have any picture?

Depending on what capture program you are using have you set the video device settings to composite?Might be the color and brightness settings are turned down.
