hi..
i have leadtek PVR2000 i got it becouse i thought i would be able to record in divx, however i have a/v sync problems (and have a seperate sound card).. also have CPU of 3.0GHZ and reocding in divx takes around 50-60%
i tried showshifter which records in sync but the problem is that i cannot have it in the backround without sound (trying to mute the sound produces recordings with no sound), winfast has a "silent recording" feature for that.
so are there any program with showshifter quality which are compatible to PVR2000?

A surprisingly inexpensive solution to PVR capture using divx is to get a Leadtek WinTV 2000 XP and load the freeware Xvid codec. Using Xvid, I can capture with whatever bitrate I want and al lthe various settings desired, in real time with divx. Of course you have to have a fast computer; at least 2 Ghz. Worked fine on my AMD Sempron 2200. Plus, the Leadtek is dirt cheap and comes with comprehensive time-shifting PVR software, etc. etc. The only caveat about the Leadtek is that the install routine is a mess and the included DV codec is hopelessly bad. Instead, buy & install the Mainconcept DV software codec or use the freeware huffyuv codec.
