In a nutshell, how do I stop the PC speaker beeping every time that DVD Shrink finishes making an image? I have mucked around with the sound configuration in Windoze for days, all to no avail. Is it a bug?

  2. Turn off the speaker itself. I never use that thing anyway.

Uninstall "beep" from device manager. No more beeps.

When you hit backup, go to the options tab and uncheck the box marked "Play sound when complete", or change the sound to something more agreeable. My PC has headphones plugged in, so I never notice it.

What's wrong twith that little beeb. I don''t hang aorund the PC for the process to end so it's nice to hears it specially if it is long encode with quality filters enabled. On other hand since I burn directly with DVD decrypter, it doesn't beep BUT I get that cute little jungle at the end. My wife loves it.

As was already stated, just disable it in Shrink NOT IN WINDOWS - Oh yeah and please don't use the term Windoze. Is that some sort of COOL thing to do with words this day?? Don;t get mad I'm just an old crank who doen's know all the new terms

As suggested, I tried messing around with the settings that come up when the Backup button is clicked. It seems that the program was set to "DefaultBeep", with no directory indicated, when the encoding was complete. Since no such file existed on my computer, Windoze's default behaviour was to just use the PC Speaker.
