i thought i remembered seeing somewhere here that this would happen....

i converted a 1 hr xvid mpeg4 at 1 pass from 23.976 to 29.97...also 608x336 to 720x480....everything looks good upon a quick check except that my 350 MB file is now 2.4 GB...

is there anyway to keep the file down to around 1 GB or so?...or can i shrink it with dvdshrink wihout losing much quality?...i was hoping to get 4 hrs on a dvd...

  2. Add all the files, hit "auto fit", and then author your dvd.

If you add 4 hours then the bitrate will be lowered to ensure that they all fit on the DVD... BUT as Mats states, the quality will suffer greatly. That said - give it a try.
